On Saturday 30th January, volunteers and staff at the Beatsabar Music Project in Wolverhampton had a surprise visit from the Mayor of Wolverhampton during an open day.

The Mayor of Wolverhampton, Cllr Ian Brookfield, popped in for a cup of tea and a chat at the rehearsal and recording studio based on the Newhampton Arts Centre in Whitmore Reans.  He spent quite a considerable time stopping to talk to as many visitors and volunteers as possible. He even had time to go on some of the instruments and was very impressed by the variety of community work the studio was involved in.
